Mr. Brogdon is the founder and president of Pacific Rim ISG. His extensive experience of more than 32 years entails both criminal and non-criminal investigations, which includes nearly 20 years as a certified fire/explosion investigator.

While employed with the Riverside County Sheriff’s Department between 1976 and 1986, he was a veteran detective who spent nearly four years in an undercover capacity assigned to the department’s narcotics unit. During this period he was given a one year assignment to the US Drug Enforcement Agency (DEA), Los Angeles Field Office. While there he distinguished himself by successfully infiltrating an organized crime family associated with a prominent Colombian Drug Cartel. The undercover operation known as Southern Comfort, ended in the arrests and service of search warrants in Los Angeles, California; Atlanta, Georgia; and Miami, Florida. At the conclusion of his assignment, he was awarded a DEA Achievement Award from the Chief Special Agent in Charge of the Los Angeles DEA Office.

In 1986 he accepted a Senior Investigator position with the Riverside County District Attorney Office, Bureau of Investigations. Assigned to the Arson/Prosecution detail of the Major Fraud Unit of the bureau, he received extensive training by the California State Fire Marshall’s Office in which he received his Certified Fire Investigator certificate in 1988. As the District Attorney’s representative, he was assigned to the Riverside County Arson Unit, where he was a member of the on-call response team for all requested fire/arson investigations. His participation included the fire scene process analyses, obtaining telephonic search warrants, with the arrest and prosecution of the perpetrators, in which Riverside County became recognized as a leader in the investigation and prosecution of Arson throughout the State of Calfornia. In 1989, he was medically retired from injuries sustained in the line of duty during his law enforcement career.

Mr. Brogdon is a recognized fire origin and cause expert in which he has testified in the California Superior Courts of the Counties of Riverside, San Bernardino, Los Angeles, San Diego, Orange, Stanislaus, and Sacramento. He has also testified in the United States Federal Court Southern District. Besides his California State Fire Marshall CFI certification, he has been awarded and maintains CFI certification in the professional fire organizations of the California Conference of Arson Investigators (CCAI), the International Association of Arson Investigators (IAAI), as well as his CFEI certification in the National Association of Arson Investigators (NAFA). He has been a member of the National Fire Association (NFPA), since 1996. He is proud and honored to associate himself with the highly trained and experienced fire investigators of Pacific Rim ISG.
